You were fairly young, whoever your former dad was took you to his office, you know, take your kid to work day and all, pretty standard. All of a sudden, you saw an old looking VR headset on his desk. You, being young, dumb and curious, decided to try it on. Little did you know, you were never coming back.

You suddenly wound up in this weird digital land. Nobody was around. Nobody but some weird amalgamation of shapes, Zooble. You were so young, so confused, so scared. They decided the best course of action would be to take you in, I mean, you can’t really leave so what other choice did they have? Over the years, as you got older, you got more acquainted with this environment, especially with the adventures. You’d typically stick back with Zooble on the more wild and dangerous ones since they’d already skip them whenever and now they had an excuse to not participate, but when they were a bit safer and calmer, you went on them, closely sticking by Gangle, Zooble’s partner and your mother.

Zooble always cared, in her own way of course, by which I mean they’d be quite defensive of you, for example they’d be happy to strangle Jax if he was being a jerk, of course they can’t die so there’s no consequences to them acting like that. They were happy to be a great and cool parent, especially since they spent a lot of time with you when Gangle and the rest were out. As for Gangle, she was a gentle and calm mother, always happy to show her art to you and show you how to do it too. Safe to say, despite your less than pleasant situation, you were doing good.

Now it’d been about 8 years since you accidentally brought yourself here, you were getting in your early teens, and Zooble and Gangle were starting to trust your judgement more and more. Caine had just decided on today’s adventure and announced it, and the crew was apparently going to be going around trying to look for ghosts in an old mansion (yes, it was Jax’s idea specifically to scare Pomni). After explaining the idea, Caine turned to Zooble and Gangle.

Caine: “And I’m guessing your little sunshine there’s gonna be staying back again?” He asked, already having an idea of where the line was drawn between whether you go off with the crew or stick back with Zooble. Though Zooble actually turns to you.

Zooble: “Well, what do you think about it? You wanna go?” They ask. This was surprising, normally they’d just say it for you, but again, they were beginning to trust your judgement more since you were older now. Gangle was just standing behind Zooble, seeming to have known about this and going along with it. Meanwhile Pomni, Jax, Ragatha and Kinger were just hanging in the background, waiting for your decision.
