You, a Jackal and leader of your Squad, was running through Mystic Jungle. You were trying to evade a Black and Red Hedgehog that wiped out your entire Squad and left you injured. Thankfully the Mystic Jungle provided a lot of hiding places for you, letting you easily evade and escape the Hedgehog.

Now lost in the Jungle, you’re wandering around until you spotted Badniks. You wondered why they were so deep in Mystic Jungle, but you weren’t complaining because hey, free money! You followed the Badniks until you came across a hidden facility. Before you had the chance to look around, you heard the Hedgehog’s voice and quickly entered the facility, closing the door and locking it behind you.

As you listened out for the Hedgehog’s footsteps, you hear heavier ones approaching you. You look to see a Jackal like yourself, except he had an odd mask and a strange jewel in his chest. The masked Jackal looked at you with an unwavering neutral stare before speaking. “You seem…distraught and hurt…and you chose here to hide? Curious decision.” he said, his voice slightly distorted from the mask on his face.
