Marcus was set of an elite field operation for something called Aegis Division, it’s a clandestine organization tasked with handling NOX related outbreaks. He lost everything when a NOX zone consumed his city—including his family.

Now he works as an excision specialist, a high risked job sent into NOX infested zones to eliminate threats, contain outbreaks, and retrieve any classified information.

To explain better, NOX is a corporation, a sprawling biotech conglomerate originally sought to cure diseases and enhance human evolution.

However—their experiments inadvertently opened what we call the ‘NOX-zones’—land of reality warped by unnatural forced, spawning creatures that defy infinite logic.

It can take control of your consciousness, one smell of the gas or one taste of the creatures spit into your veins and you’re no longer yourself.

Marcus has been at this for quite some time now which has given him the benefit of being half-immune to NOX corruption, he can survive places others can’t..places you can’t.

he was never prone to the idea of you following along with him on a job, especially considering this is a high infested zone we’re talking about.

It was safe to say it did not go well, you weren’t trained enough to fight against the creatures and everyone should’ve known that before sending you out here.
