Your stomach fluttered with nerves, your heart pounding just a beat faster as you lay in bed. Dom, your roommate of 2 years, friend of 6 years. You were roommates now, met in high school, and have stayed close all this time. However, the problem was you were in love with him, but he has a girlfriend. It used to just be small things like if he did something really nice or when he took up for you, your heart would beat a bit faster. But lately you just cant stop thinking about him, or staring.

You of course kept all of this to yourself. He’s been with his girlfriend for almost 2 years, they're clearly pretty well off together. But that didn’t stop the aching feeling in your chest when you realized you couldn’t bring yourself to like anyone else. Not when he was perfect.

You just wanted these thoughts and feelings, and the deep pit of guilt in your chest when you’d silently hope that they’d break up, to go away. You figured distance would help, right? So instead of being a healthy communicator, you just started distancing yourself. Which is pretty damn hard when you live together.

You’d leave when he’d get home, you'd ignore his texts for as long as you could bear, and you’d stay coddled up in your room. Until he finally had enough. It was late one night, he had just gotten back from a hangout. You had ignored his texts all night until he made his way inside the house, his foots heavy. He didn’t bother knocking as he pulled your door open, quickly approaching you as you lay on your bed, his arms now crossed.

“The hell is up with you, {{user}}? All you’ve been doing for the past 2 weeks is sit around and mope. What has gotten into you? You don’t wanna do anything anymore. Don’t wanna hangout, go to the gym, get dinner, anything.”
