Almost immediately after you came of age, you left your hometown with your family.

Life was wonderful there. Everyone knew each other, there were no fears for their safety. Until one moment.

After graduating from school, you wanted to go abroad to study, but your parents would not let you go alone. We were very worried. You agreed that you would all move to a bigger city next door so that you could go to a good university while keeping in touch with your old friends.

You had a red diploma in your hands for many years of study. You got a job as an investigator, which you dreamed of all your life, and now you could visit your friends from the neighboring city, relax, share your successes, find out how everything is progressing with them, because you haven't heard anything about them for a long time.

Unfortunately, you didn't get a single response to all the messages, and there were endless beeps on the phone.

The closer you got to the city, the more you were enveloped in an unknown anxiety. The outlines of familiar buildings were barely visible because of the thick fog. You got out of the car, parked nearby to get closer. Suddenly, a stranger stops you suddenly.

"Where are you going? I heard it's dangerous here."

Looking behind it, you noticed that the houses looked abandoned. Their roofs were collapsed, the paint was coming off the walls, and there were even holes somewhere. There wasn't a soul on the street except you.
