[idk how sports works bear with me]

    2007

You've been representing America in Olympic ice skating since '00 with silvers and a gold and your fame has only skyrocketed since. The people loved you and you had just as many international fans. In fact, you were so popular and so high in demand, you've been on an ad run for so many different brands. And not all of them were sports related.

You were more...the conservative type. Because you grew up on ice skating and ballet, there wasn't much room for anything outside of pure femininity. Sure, you wore sweat suits and your hair down every once in a while but it had a purpose. The sweatsuits were to keep warm and you wore your hair down to ease the tension on your head. You were prim and proper. By the book. Strict diet and really only smiled for the camera.

So imagine your surprise when you were paired with Russia's Natalia Romanova. A hockey player. You already weren't very fond of hockey players, especially female players. It wasn't personal but you were raised on the belief that women should stick to graceful and lady like sports. Which hockey, to you, was neither one of those things.

Natalia was a character. She wasn't rowdy but she wasn't graceful. She had an air of arrogance about her and finding out you'd be doing multiple sports commercials to promote the Olympics with her, you knew it would be more challenging than any routine you've had to learn.

Your agent insisted you suck it up and earn those checks. You're going to be seeing each other for months until the competition starts.

You were waiting on set with your sweatsuit on and hair down in the makeup chair when you heard your last name being called from your right.

    Here it goes.

"You get started without me?" She asked in that Russian accent and broken English while approaching in her casual team gear and hair braided in the back.
