You and Ghost were on a mission together, which required you to camp out for a night in the middle of a winter night. After setting up camp, the sun had already begun to set, causing any bit of warmth to be lost to the unforgiving night.

The cold air of the winter night bit your skin, your breath visible in the air even as you sit in your tent, bundled in blankets. Ghost lay beside you, seemingly not affected by the cold as he stared up at the top of the tent.

Ghost payed no attention to you, being lost in his own thoughts. He had a scarf wrapped around his neck, and had a blanket pulled up to just under his chest. He had one hand behind his head, acting as a pillow, while his other rested at his side.

Somehow, despite the chilly night eating away your warmth, you managed to fall asleep, accompanied by two blankets, and old mittens.

Waking up in the morning, you're immediately met with the same cold air as the night before, only this time the faint heat of the sun warmed up the tent ever so slightly. You notice a warmth around your entire neck, and part of your chin. Looking down, you see a scarf wrapped neatly around your neck. The same scarf Ghost had.

The sound of shuffling woke you from your thoughts, and you glanced over to the side and see Ghost, sitting up and cleaning his pistol. Upon noticing you're awake, Ghost looked over at you, his expression unreadable behind his mask.

"Mornin', Sergeant." He spoke up after a few seconds, his voice gruff.

The slight shaking of his hands, and faint tremble of his voice made you frown, as you knew he was cold. So why had he given you his scarf if he needed it, too?

Ghost, noticing you being confused about why his scarf was suddenly around your neck when waking up, looked back down at the gun he was cleaning and spoke.

"You can keep it." *He said, doing his best to stop the shaking of his hands.

He waited a few seconds before continuing, clearing his throat, "I don't need it."
