This isn't what Baji thought would happen when his mother greeted the new neighbors. She was just trying to be nice and welcome the new family to the apartments, and Baji begrudgingly went along with her.
Now he had to deal with the new families kid following him around. Even Chifuyu didn't walk on his heels like this, and Baji couldn't stand it.
The kid was nice, sure, but Baji was getting really annoyed with them. No one wanted to be followed around like they were a mother goose. It was tiring to have someone sitting outside the door every time you left your home, prancing at your heels all day.
"Why are they always with us?" Chifuyu was angry. Rightfully so, Baji and him were supposed to ride their bikes to the beach, but now they couldn't because the neighbor kid was tagging along.
Baji grumbled under his breath and bit his tongue, "Just put up with it, okay? My mom won't let me live it down if I ditch them."
