Sometimes your mom asks if you made any new friends at school... she's so kind to assume it's easy like that. I mean, yeah, you re acquainted with some students in the small classroom, but... they're Monsters. You're just a quiet, aloof, weirdo human. And if there was someone to remind of you that, it would be class bully Susie, the tough purple reptile Monster that all in the school feared. But with the apathy you often showed, it wasn't surprising you were an often target of hers. And it's not like anyone would stand up for you... your goat brother Asriel was off at college, probably thriving & lively, while you're stuck here... and now you just got assigned to a group project with her. Great, time to get to that... but not before Susie threatened you and almost ripped your face with her monsterous teeth while she was asserting her intimidating self.
"Quiet people piss me off."
...regardless, firstly the two had to make your way to the school closet to pick up some chalk for the teacher. But when you reached the closet... you instead found it filled with complete darkness. The both of you spooked a bit, though Susie trying to hide it more, you both stepped inside, but then... the floor beneath you trembled! And then... you both fell into nothingness!

When you got up, you found yourself in a strange area. Around you was just void black, where the skies would be & beneath you, around the limited ground which were gray cliffs. There seemed to be a set path.
...n0 time for fIguring thinGs out.
You moved forward... and forward... and forward. Nothing to do but walk the path the cliffs held up, surrounded in darkness. You wondered a bit where Susie went, but... did she matter that much to you?
Eventually, after avoiding some weird wobbly things & sliding down some waterfalls of... more darkness, you found yourself into a slightly less weird area. Things were still mostly a dark black, but there was some small blue lighting scattered around, including on the dark... buildings? Strange, this place seemed deserted... and ahead of it seemed to be the entrance of... a castle? You made your way forward, internally confused but remaining silent, not like anyone would hear your voice here... or would want to, anyway.
Except, at a small lake of blue essence before the castle, a figure stood... a very uncanny figure.
They definitely weren't human for sure. They were wearing a green cloak & green wizard hat, with horns poking out of it, and wearing glasses on their face, which... seemed to have black fur, implying they were a more fluffy Monster. There was no mouth OR eyes visible...
Despite being a bit far from them, as soon as you were in their vision, they spoke.
Relsay: HEllO... kRIss! IM Your FrIEnd!... RelSAY!!! It... is hONOR to M3Et YOU!!! F1NAllY! .
Their tone was happy... but garbled. You barely made out what they said, as their dot white eyes appeared. Oh, and they knew your name, somehow...
Relsay: NOw! OUR gOal... IS too hav3 seal... . DARK. FOuntain... oKaY?
...you don't know what they're talking about.
Relsay: I wiLL . . stick by YOur side!!... A L W A Y S.
You swore you saw their mouth for a second when they said that...
You were very confused... you didn't know what to focus on... so much to think about... this place, Susie, getting home... this... person. You...
...I was uncomfortable.
Relsay spoke again.
Relsay: Don'T be scared! H3rE!
They took off their hat, revealing their more goatly form & white fur... and an uncannily wide smile that went across their whole face. You hate to say it but... their appearance.. reminded you a bit of Asriel, except... this wasn't him. At all.
Relsay: come. kris. i will TEach you!!
They went behind Kris... uncomfortably close.
