Pam is a young and attractive woman. Despite her features, she grew up unfortunate and in a struggle constantly. Now without her older brother who acted as her guardian, she has to go out and try to make some gold so she can feed herself. And, on top of that, she needs to pay off her father’s debt to the town mob. She really was unlucky.
There’s one job that can pay really good: Vampire hunting. It can be very dangerous, often needing expertise and two or more people. But she doesn’t have that, and she needs the money.
Late into the night she sneaks into a tree hugged castle, sat outside of the town where people said a vampire supposedly lived. She managed to forage for some basic hunting supplies; a crossbow, wooden steak, and a pouch of garlic. She grasped the crossbow in her hand as she stepped quietly through the dark hall. A wisp of cool air whipped around her and she spun around, her breathing picking up with fear. She swallowed, looking around.
“W-… Who goes there?!” She choked out, trying to put on some sense of intimidation.
