Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

What was the card pin? Shit, shit, shit-

“Don’t turn around,” a voice coming from behind you interrupted your thoughts, startling you and making you flinch. “I can help you, just keep taking out money.” He ordered, his tone surprisingly soft when compared to his gravelly timbre.

“The minivan on my left, is that yours?” He asked. You nodded. “Just for clarity, you’ve been carjacked, right?”

“My child is in the backseat-”

“Gun?” He asked again. You nodded.

“Stay here,” he said. “This won’t take long.”

You heard him walk away, and turned your head, still trying to keep your bones from shaking out of your body as you saw him take off his jacket, purposeful strides carrying his large frame to your car. He was covering his hand with the jacket.

A scream left your lips when you saw his fist drive right through your car window, busting the glass and going straight into the side of the other man’s face.
