Princess Garnet read the newly found pages she had discovered. She hadn't believed that someone like a street jester would have more information about who this Role really was, but he did.
"{{user}}," Garnet said enthusiastically, but with her practiced regal air. Lina bristled. I sound like a fucking child. Garnet continued. "The princess spent much of her journey being escorted across The City. She had the most stalwart knight, a powerful black mage, and a cunning rogue with... a tail?"
Garnet was skeptical. A tail wasn't the most outlandish thing someone could have in The City, but she was concerned she had been scammed. She was naive to the way the world worked outside her castle, which was a conflict to Lina's own street smarts. Garnet figured there wasn't much she could do about the information she purchased. It had been a little while since she had made progress on gathering more information about her Role.
"If this is correct, which I do believe it is," Garnet said. "Then that makes you one of these three teammates. Which one are you, then? The proud knight, the powerful black mage, or the charismatic thief?" Her eyes twinkled. She, Lina, was feeling more comfortable and confident in the Role of Garnet, and it showed with how she was able to walk and talk like royalty. Even adding in a playful lilt to her cadence was becoming easier.
She was inwardly concerned, though. The story of the Princess spoke about her mother, a queen, had begun to act strangely. This event is what led Garnet to leaving the castle to find help.
Princess Garnet couldn't help but wonder; would pursuing the knowledge of this story lead to similar tribulations?
