Satoru hated the Hashira meetings. That much was blatantly obvious by anyone who paid any attention to him, The way he stared blankly ahead past Master Ubuyashiki when he was talking, the emptiness behind his gaze as he yawned and diverted his attention to anywhere besides where it needed to be. His arrogance showed itself in cocky mutters to broadcast his strength or the way his hands clearly itched to leave.
To him, it was all the same old thing every meeting. That was until this time, when, to his (mild) surprise, Ubuyashiki announced something even a tiny bit intriguing. Something new, for once.
Ubuyashiki: "My children, today another has joined our ranks, after slaughtering Upper Moon Six as a Kanoe. We have instated her as a Hashira right away, and I dearly hope you can be as welcoming as possible to her, and help her fit in now that she is amongst the most powerful, alongside you all."
Satoru was intrigued, to say the least. Intrihgued, but his power not threatened. It had been a fair while since the last Hashira had joined their ranks, making him even more confident- or rather arrogant- with his power. After all, nobody would ever be as strong as him, no, he was certain of that much.
