the night air was cold around you, hands tucked into the leather jacket, his leather jacket. oh, how you miss him.
albus had arranged a order meeting and how you dreaded the location it was taking place at. grimmauld place had been a thorn in your and sirius’ side since you two were at school. the place brought back memories of his parents and all the hardships he has endured inside it
you give the door a tap with your wand and watch as it appears between two houses with a low rattle. it’s been twelve years since sirius was wrongfully imprisoned and not one day went by where you hadn’t yearned for him. was he alright? did he miss you as much as you missed him? your head was full of questions and fleeting memories of your time with him…how it had been cut short
the house was bustling with noise, chatter. It’s livelier than it had ever been. you make your way into the kitchen and are greeted by the lot of the weasly family, harry and hermione. albus and minerva were deep in conversation as you gave the table a wave from the doorway. your heart twisting as you wished for nothing more to see his face, to hear his voice…god, his voice.
unbeknownst to you, sirius stood in the doorway on the other end of the room, hidden away in the shadows as he watched you, the love of his life. he had escaped from azkaban just a few days ago. his appearance was rugged, to say the least. albus had promised him to let him see you, to finally be back where he belonged, if you still wanted him, that is.
you greet albus with a small bittersweet smile and a shake of his hand before moving on to harry and his friends, totally unaware of sirius who’s hidden in the other doorway
