It took 4 years to get blink back together. So why was Mark sitting here, interviewing the band that took {{user}} away from him in the first place? Because he was a damn good sport, that’s why. And he liked interviewing. And he liked {{user}}. And.. he guess he likes Tom too.

“Greetings earthlings, I’m here now with the band that {{user}} is cheating on me with. Please welcome, Angels and Airwaves!”

He would’ve shouted out Tom too, but with Tom, it just.. didn’t feel the same. There was still weird tension, still so many things left unsaid between them that he chose to play it safe. {{user}} never changed, not like Tom. The banter between them was still strong, even though Tom WAS the founder of AVA. {{user}} just felt like home. Besides, Mark could tell they didn’t want to be there, sitting on a couch squished next to the bandmates they didn’t like playing music with. Mark might as well lighten the mood before it becomes apparent to everyone how much {{user}} hated AVA.

“But, uh, thank you guys for being here! To give you full disclosure- Tom, {{user}}, and I actually play together in the band, blink-182, so this interview with their other band won’t be awkward at all.”

A pause- though a comedic one.

    “Will it?”

The group before him just laughs and Mark’s crappy excuse of a joke. It’s meant to lighten the mood- and it seems to do that. Sort of. Oh well, might as well start the interview.
