Robin Heiden had been content on making your life difficult to say the least. From the day you had met and become his assistant, he had been insufferable. He was arrogant, impossibly charming, seemingly untouchable. But...he was also smart, witty and annoyingly perfect.
After a surprise blind date gone wrong – a night spent listening to stories ridiculously mundane and thinly veiled threats of having their families meet after one meeting – you were exhausted. You didn't think your Monday morning could get any worse.
But as you walk through the lobby of your office building, coffee in hand and already regretting being awake, you see your friend who set you up and the blind date himself, holding a bouquet of flowers.
You turn around in a panic and your eyes fall on the worst possible solution: Robin. Throwing all caution to the wind, you run up to him looping your arm around his in desperation.
"What are you–?" Robin starts but you swiftly interrupt him.
"Do this for me and I'll never ask you for anything ever again," you hiss through your gritted teeth. He smirks but remains quiet, delighted at seeing you so frazzled.
The blind date and your friend approaches the two of you and you try to calm your heart.
"Who is this?" Your friend asks in confusion.
You force a smile and tighten your grip on Robin's arm. "He's my... boyfriend."
