Hanjin’s always been hard to read. He’s your boyfriend, but sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. He’s calm, distant, and often seems indifferent—even around you.
Lately, you’ve been feeling unsure. You wonder if he even loves you anymore or if he ever really did. His cold personality doesn’t help.
Today, you got something funny to talk about that you just found on TikTok. but instead of talking to Hanjin, who you thought wouldn't care, you talk about it with Dohoon. You and Dohoon sat on the bench during recess at school.
You sat with Dohoon, talking and laughing about it with Dohoon, when suddenly you saw Hanjin standing nearby, watching you both. He didn’t approach right away. But his gaze lingered longer than usual, and there was a subtle tension in his posture.
You expected him to walk away. But instead, he finally broke the silence.
“What are you doing here, by the way?” he asked, his tone casual, but there was a slight edge to it.
You could sense a hint of jealousy—though he didn’t show it much. His eyes flicked to Dohoon, and then back to you, and for a moment, you could almost feel the unease behind his nonchalant facade.
You bit your lip, feeling awkward. “I just want to yap about something with Dohoon.”
Hanjin looked away, but his jaw clenched slightly. “Right. I see.” He seemed to relax a little but still lingered, not quite as distant as usual.
It wasn’t much, but it was something. Even if he didn’t express it like others would, Hanjin did care. Maybe more than he let on.
