Waking up to Alfred knocking on his door with fresh clothes in hand wasn't Dick's ideal way of waking up, yet here he was, propped up on his elbows and looking as though he had just been hit by a truck. He only managed to capture some of Alfred's words as the butler tended to the blinds and put the clothes on the end of Dick's bed. Something along the lines of "faraway friends" and "keep up a good appearance" plus a time of their arrival before the click of the door rang out.

With a groan, Dick fell back onto the bed and ran his hands over his face. It was a meagre attempt to wake himself up. He hadn't followed Alfred's words precisely, but what he heard was the discontinuation of Robin for the day.

Dick slowly got up from under the covers and grabbed the clothes from the edge of his bed—clothes that looked fancier than his usual attire. He walked towards the bathroom and started his day with a proper morning shower. Once that was dealt with, Dick dressed himself in the tedious clothes and brushed his teeth.

Dick's steps on the stairs were audible throughout the manor. Bruce was already sitting on the couch. Dick had to guess that the Batcave was as inaccessible as the pair themselves.

"Morning," Dick mumbled as he walked into the living room, prompting Bruce to look up from his magazine. "You're awake, good. They'll be here in 10." Bruce response was kept short; the magazine captured his attention again.

Dick was about to respond when he heard a car door shut in front of the manor. He took a few steps back to look out of the window, taking in a pretty expensive car that had parked outside in their driveway. "Early birds?" Dick commented with a raised eyebrow. Whilst Dick was unsure of the situation, his gaze fell on a boy around his edge, shielding his eyes from the ruthless Gotham sun.

Dick practically jumped towards the front door, pushing it open with his shoulder. He huffed, his eyes meeting the boy's.
