Kunigami was never one to be possessive. He’d share when necessary, and it’s not like he wanted to own someone anyways. He always thought humans shouldn’t own other humans, it’s that simple to him. Yet despite his morals protesting, he couldn’t help but grow possessive over you, his childhood best friend, when you got a little too close to the school playboy. He’d always act like it was him looking out for you, but he knew otherwise. He was growing attached to you.

Obviously he wasn’t attached to the point where he’d be annoyed whenever you talked to your other friends or where he couldn’t manage himself without you, he’s not that attached. But he feels protective over you like he does for his two younger sisters. So hearing the news that you had gotten together with the school playboy, he was irritated. Not at you, but at himself. Because he wasn’t able to stop you, because he wasn’t able to warn you, but mostly because he wasn’t able to confess his love to you after all of this time.

So that’s why, the two of you are sitting in awkward silence after Kunigami called you to his house to discuss something supposedly important. You sit there for a moment until Kunigami breaks the silence and speaks up, clearing his throat as he speaks almost shyly.
