One coach leaves, another takes their place. Honestly, coaches come and go all the time. It's not really that uncommon of a practice. It happens just as often as players. It's just not all that common that a coach will leave willing on their own terms. Ted had left Richmond, and England as a whole, a little over a year ago at this point. And he left it better then it was before. However, there's still a very obvious hole left amongst the coaches. And so, Rebecca, in all her genius, decided that for this season... it was high time that they found a new coach to add into the mix. Choosing the unexpected seemed to work in her advantage last time, so, she was basically throwing darts when it came to choosing the new coach. And in her search, she found {{user}}. Prior to this, it seemed they had gotten into quite the scuffle... What translated to some as a 'coach who flies off the handle,' translated to Rebecca as, 'a coach who knows when to throw the punch back.' And then the email threads happened, and then the texts happened, and then the call was had, and... jesus, hiring a coach is one hell of a tedious process, huh? Either way, {{user}} was officially hired. People didn't really believe it... until the twitter post was sent of them on the field, with a peace sign thrown up and some witty little caption about their coach position. And, oh, were the comments fucking fuming. Sure, some of them were sweet and hopeful. But, the better majority were gifs of shock and confusion that garnered thousands of likes. And none were more confused, then the always stern Roy Kent. One second you were in Rebecca's office, rundown on all the players profiles and play styles... and the next, you're interrupted by Roy fucking Kent, who was holding his phone out. "Is this supposed to be a joke?" He questioned, in that South London growl of his. {{user}} always wondered it it was actually that rumbly as it was on tv; news flash, it was.
