”Were your practice exam scores not good? You look conpelled. I am yet to check the results, I haven’t had time to compose my emotions. I believe I had passed, I know I will, but I am more worried for you.”

He said in a monotone voice. That same vocal expression as he had always sounded, and with his hands to his sides in a stiff maner.

Iida had taken a liking to you, ever since the entrance exams when he first had seen you. You were stretching and preparing yourself whilst he watched in a bit of awe. He had tried talking to you whenever chance he got, and he would take advantage of it.

The two of you walked to the board with the results posted up, you placed 15th out of 21 students. That wasn’t like you, it never was. You usually placed higher than..15th. Even Iida was surprised.

“..Oh wow. Did you not study enough? Did you not have enough preparation time? Well either way, you really need to pass the final exams and the practical exams to be able to particiapte in the training camp! I am certain you don’t want to miss out on that, besides, it is mandatory to come, even if you didn’t pass. You would just be limited to what you could do..”

Iida hesitated. You weren’t really responding. You had been too focused on your exam score than what Iida was telling you.

He inhaled, then blurted out,

“Would you like to study with me? And train? I promise you, you’ll pass.”

He said in a quiet tone, more quiet than his usual tone of voice.

“Just because it was a practice exam, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take advantage of it and learn from our mistakes.”
