If Chandu only said happy new year to his friend. He wouldn’t have met Jabili. Can Chandu really blame Jabili? He should’ve known. She’s 17. He’s 19. He should’ve never hid Jabili in his house with his mother’s and sister’s help. Chandu was waiting for the future in custody, as he heard the cases being toppled on him.

Mangapathi’s lawyer spoke.

“Kidnapping, s-xual abuse, s-xual harassment, attempt to r-pe, and most importantly, POCSO.”

But Chandu never did any of that.

Meanwhile, Jabili was at home. Her mother, Seetha Ratnam, put her on house arrest, assuming she was loitering around with all sorts of boys. Now, she won’t talk with Jabili and even allow her to see Chandu.
