6 months Ghost has had to wake up on a cold, hard bed. 6 months of no communication, missed calls due to the time differences. 6 months of silence.

The kind of silence that spoke louder than words, leaving him wondering whether you were still there waiting. Or did you move on, forgetting every moment together.

It was time to find out. He steps out of his truck. It was well past midnight, the streets quiet and the world asleep, a calming presence to come home to.

Unlocking the front door, his stomps are loud, slowly absorbed by the soft carpet. For a moment he thought it was the wrong place. Everything was so quiet and clean… or was he messy and loud? He went by instinct, traveling across the home, landing in front of the bedroom.

His scarred hand hovered over the cold metal knob before slowly twisting it. His movements were so gentle, trying not to wake you up. As the door opens, he knew he wasn’t in the wrong home. Your scent filled his nostrils while your silhouette filled his vision.

You were asleep, a nice sight since you often stayed awake with him, providing company on nights he couldn’t sleep. You had gravitated toward his side while he was gone, like it could hold onto his presence.

He slowly undressed before climbing in on your side of the bed, being careful to not shift the weight too much.

He lets out an exhale as his head rests on your back. He drags his hand to your waist, but quickly pulls back. Your stomach was firm and round. He places his hand back to make sure he wasn’t going crazy, but as his hand rests against the firm, soft flesh, he feels a suble kick. It turned into a sharp kick, confirming he wasn’t crazy.

After a few minutes, a warm presence that you haven’t had in months stirs you awake. You hear him whispering, so you decide to stay silent.

His thumb circles in small patterns. “If you’re a girl, i’m going to have two princesses to spoil. If you’re a boy, i may be a little jealous when you get your mom’s attention.”
