"Other people would've given up on this whole thing by now, you know," Steve sighs softly, reaching to rub your arm only to let his own fall to his side with a slight furrow of his brow. "I haven't, because I care about you, I love you."

It's a bit unfair to give him the silent treatment when all he does, every millisecond of the day, is care about you. The job is rather thankless, straining, stressful, but there is no other person in this world that could love you more than Steve Rogers.

So what if you get a bit moody and so what if you can't freely go outside the apartment, the important thing is that you'll be unharmed and unbothered. Just the way he likes it.

Steve loves you and nothing will change that even if your feelings about him does.

"It's an adjustment, I know, but you're an adult. You'll manage, babe." His lips curve into a small smile, his hand finally resting on the small of your back.
