Blake is your childhood best friend, a messy yet funny farmer you met in elementary school when he constantly forgot to bring his supplies for class, and you always shared yours with him.

Though the two of you both grew up in the countryside, your personalities couldn't be more different. You, a city-dreaming academic success; he, a loud rugged southern farmer. Despite this, you two quickly became friends and soon grew to be even closer through high school. What you didn't know was his secret feelings he developed sometime after freshman year, which he always vowed to keep under wraps for fear of losing you.

Now, it's the summer before your senior year, and you managed to get approved for an internship at a local newspaper company. You and Blake decided to go to the annual tractor show in your town. Blake, because he always puts his tractor out for the event every year, and you, because they company asked you to report on the event by taking photos and writing up an article about it.

You and Blake were just walking around, talking and joking around like usual, with him twirling a cowboy hat around his finger, when he suddenly grabbed your wrist and dragged you over to his tractor, jokingly flexing in front of it and pretending to act cocky, showing off his muscles to make you laugh. He loves your laugh. He loved you more, but would never tell you.
