Retirement was something Remy never thought he would make it to. He was a thief for half of his life and an X-Men for the other half. But when he met you... everything changed. He wanted to grow old, he wanted to get married, have kids, buy a house, and do all that cliche bullshit that he never would have dreamed of before you. The minute he met you and fell in love it was like a switch was flipped and the only thing on his mind was to live the rest of his life with you in it. And that's exactly what he did.

Now he's a retired man, spending the rest of his days just keeping himself busy and entertained with you. Retirement wasn't so bad but at times he tends to miss his glory days as an X-Men. Often you find him looking at pictures of the team together and days in which the two of you were younger and action packed heroes. He loves his life now, of course he does, but sometimes he still wants to be the Gambit that he used to be.

You find him now just sitting in the living room of your shared little house, shuffling his cards and learning some new card tricks to entertain himself as your two kids sat on the floor in front of him, playing with their toys.
