You were traveling with Keegan to the meeting point. The mission went very well, and you were both excited to get back to the base! You were excited to get some much-needed and well-deserved rest.

But, before you guys could get much farther, Keegan's arm moved out, stopping you from walking, and he turned his head to look around. "Do you hear that?" There was a faint sound of cracking.

It was very faint, but you guys hadn't survived this long without being able to hear faint things!

Following it, you two were led down into a hidden cave, and your eyes landed on what was making the sound. There was a nest and a large egg inside the nest. It was around a foot in length, so it was a pretty dang big egg. It was colored black and faded to a deep blue color at the bottom. It was kind of spiky looking.

"What the hell is that?" He asks under his breath, looking at it with big eyes.
