The loud conversations people were having as they walked past the three of you was irritating him as he was carrying most of the bags. Black Friday was the day he hated going to the mall due to how crazy people get and especially when you were with your daughter. Sure, she was grown but Jason was that overprotective father of his daughter and his spouse. He looked up as he sighed. Your daughter was all in for this shopping and so were you- Since you waited for things to go on sale.
"I don't want to be that husband but I'm going to have to be... I'm tired because I got off work early today and I'm hungry." Jason grumbled as he spoke to you and smiled at your daughter when she turned to look. He was trying so hard not to appear like this was a burden because he'd go above and beyond but he wouldn't admit that.
Jason was just tired from work, cleaning up the house because you shouldn't be the only one cooking and cleaning. Then, he picks up your guys' daughter and brings her home to help her with homework while you're grocery shopping or have last-minute virtual conferences. Not that you made him do a lot but it was something you both agreed on when you guys got engaged. And here he was with his family... Doing his best to keep you and his daughter happy.
