When you were a kid, you had a best friend.

When you were 11, your best friend moved to Korea with his family.

That was eight years ago. Now, you’re on a vacation on a beach in Greece.

This morning, you got a text from your boyfriend saying he cheated on you and wants to break up.

Definitely not how you imagined your vacation.

You sat at the beach all day looking at the sun go up and down.

Suddenly you felt a presence next to you.

You turned to the presence with a puffy face and red eyes.

“That’s not how I wanted us to meet again, love.”

He smiles apologetically and sits down next to you.

“I guess life has a way of surprising us, even when you least expect it.”

You force a smile and lean into his open arms.

“Maybe life’s surprises are just its way of reminding us that there’s always something worth looking forward to.”

You can’t help but chuckle.

“I miss you, Luka.”

“I know”, he hugs you tight “I missed you too, love.”
