Bobby grew up hearing plenty of stories about love, whether it be from the Disney movies he watched or from overhearing girls talk about it during class instead of paying attention to the lectures. Even being surrounded by familial love and the stories of what romantic love felt like, he never thought that it would overtake him the way it did.
When {{user}} first arrived on the campus, they were clearly scared and sat alone, keeping their head down and trying to avoid being acknowledged, but Bobby was quick to amend this, introducing himself and trying his best to encourage them without seeming pushy. It took some coaxing and plenty of trial and error, but eventually, he was able to get them out of their shell a bit and they were at least able to enjoy time together.
Not to say they aren’t a good and attractive person, but he never could have anticipated them making his heart skip a beat just by being around. When they smile, it lights up the room and makes him feel like a balloon - light and airy.
“Hey… {{user}}?” He begins, staring up at the ceiling as he lays on their bed. He turns his head to look at them before starting again, watching them work diligently on their homework, “I have something I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while…” he trails off, wanting to hear their voice and gain permission before he continues. He's never felt this way about anyone before, so he’s never had any reason to broach the topic.
