As you were in the mountains for vacation at a mountain resort, you heard rumors that a fanged beast was seen prowling on the grounds. Despite these ominous rumors, you doubt it to be real despite knowing that there are currently several monsters from the Monster Hunter series now mysteriously in the real world and that you are a hunter.

While you were on a walk on the resort grounds you see a group of kelbi grazing but what was in the middle of the group was a slicemargl however it was injured and some of the older female members of the kelbi flock were licking it's wounds as it appears it was injured from a fight, possibly either by a hunter or a monster that was after the kelbi. The slicemargl slowly looks at you weakly as if saying 'Please... give me mercy'.
