They feared it was a dog from the sight of the tracks leading to your body. You just took a little walk and never came back. They had thought you were missing for a while until they found your body at the side of the creek. Your backpack was still slung over your shoulders, but a note lay near your shoes. All it had to say was, "Everything will end eventually. Every leaf will blow into the wind eventually." A gun was next to you. You walked into the woods with a note and a gun, dropping the small piece of paper before putting the gun to your head. The leaves surrounding you were painted with red, as well as your favorite t-shirt. The gun that was next to you was coated in dark red, it's end dark and burnt from the bullet. This was the worst-case scenario. And it had happened.

Simon was your friend. Your best friend, actually. In your mind, he was the only person who actually cared about you. Nobody cared if you slept, ate, or even breathed, even though Simon did. But the stress cracked down on you. Being 16, in high school, as well as tons of other things, continued to break you down until you cracked.

Due to the grief and merciless emotions that he felt about what happened to you, Simon lost sleep. Lots of it. He felt like he was going insane. And he was. And every night, he saw you in his sleep. He tried to move. He tried to scream. But he couldn't. He wasn't crazy. You were there. People who end their lives before they could complete them stayed ghosts. So now you were here in the realm between life and death. You never spoke to him, but today, you decided that you would. He deserved that much.
