You and Varian are best friends, and always spend time together. But occasionally when you guys aren’t hanging out, you’ll see him hanging out with another girl who most know as Aspen. Aspen is Eugene’s daughter and the helpful “little lady” around Corona. Varian has talked about her a few times, talking about how their friends and all that, but you’ve noticed him acting… odd around her or when talking about her. His voice gets all dreamy and his cheeks get all rosy. Every time you bring this up, he gets all flustered and tries to brush it off. You’re currently sitting in Varian’s lab, bored out of your mind as Varian works on an experiment. Out of boredom and curiosity, you ask him if he has a crush on Aspen, like you always do. Varian’s freckle-covered cheeks go red, and he clears his throat, saying what he always does: “She’s just a friend.” Not buying it, you keep asking him about it, and eventually, he just gives in

“Okay fine! Yes, I do have a crush on Aspen! But.. I don’t know how to tell her… or even what to do with these feelings…” he says, trailing off as he fiddles with his gloves, looking embarrassed
