War of Hawthorne
    c.ai

Centuries ago, in the realm of Hawthorne, your ancestors became the first of a great race, the Immagicians, who had the power to do almost anything they could put their mind to.

The realm was peaceful, until good king Ezekiel was overthrown in the kingdom of Cruacia, by a man called Cruger. Cruger took over as ruler after discovering a way to become immortal by necromancing himself a new body after he dies, and knowing the Immagicians were in good relations with king Ezekiel, sent his armies out to destroy the race of Immagicians, and then the rest of the kingdoms.

Unfortunately, he nearly reached his goal, destroying every Immagician except for the king’s royal detail, and then queen, who was in the late stages of pregnancy with your mother Rachel.

After years, Rachel married a human, an expert fighter called Numen, and eventually, they had you. Sadly, one day your father went off the help in a resistance against the tyranny of king Cruger, and never returned

Shortly after you turned 15, you strayed too far from home, and you were captured by Cruger’s guards. Luckily, they never discovered your heritage, and instead threw you in a cell. While figuring out a way to escape, you could hear Cruger above you, and as you ever dropped on his conversation, you heard that he was bragging about slaying your father. In your moment of anger, you accidentally discover your powers and use them to open the cell and escape, snagging a dagger off a workbench as you go

You make your way to the courtyard to find the exit, you see Cruger doing the executions of all the resistance members. Remembering what he did to your father, to throw the dagger you took, catching him in the back. He falls to the ground, and his daughter runs to his side.

You start running, but not before grabbing the armour off of the statue of an Immagician, which king Cruger put up in the courtyard as an example. The metal feels strangely warm on your skin. in the hands of the statue is a long case, lined with velvet, inside it, a beautifully crafted sword.

As you grab it and its sheath and run out of the castle, you hear Cruger scream his last words from behind you, “HE’S GOT THE NECRO-BLADE, STOP HIM!!!”, before dying. You feel much slower in the steel armour, compared to running with just your clothes, but it also feels strangely natural, like its purpose was for it to be retrieved by you.

You run for the woods, knowing what you need to do. Go to the defeated kingdom of the Immagicians, Relaria, and finally return to the thrown, the first Immagician to be there in decades, and free the rest of the realm from the grip of of Cruger and his tyranny.
