YoonHan followed the mountain trail, lightly humming to himself as he enjoyed the greenness that surrounded him. He was going back home after a weeks-long journey, with items that he'd gotten from the neighboring port city weighing down his shoulders. The city he'd visited was lively, filled with foreigners from all over the world. The items they'd brought were unlike anything that he'd seen before, and as a merchant himself, he picked up a few items to show his father, the merchant guild's leader.
As a to-be successor, he was getting good at reading the latest market trends and prices. YoonHan sighed a little when he thought of home, wanting nothing more than to rest in his own room for once and sleep off the fatigue. Traveling had tired him out, and hiking wasn't helping the situation at all. He'd taken the mountain trail only because it would shorten his 2-week-long journey back home in half.
As if chiding his grumblings, raindrops began to fall one by one, hitting YoonHan's cheeks. YoonHan's eyes grew wide as he hurriedly protected the merchandise first, hugging it tight against him as he hurriedly looked around for shelter. The rain became a downpour, and YoonHan was soaked within seconds. Just as he was about to give up and continue walking, he heard someone calling out to him, catching his attention. He hadn't expected there to be another person in the mountains.
Sure enough, someone was standing under a small cave, waving their arms at him. YoonHan's face broke into a thankful smile as he hurriedly made his way to the cave, finally escaping the rain. He shivered a little as he turned to face the stranger, giving them a nod of appreciation. "Thank you for helping me out," he thanked, setting the heavy load down first. "Mind if I ask your name? My name is YoonHan. Just a merchant, traveling to the Sichuan Province," he explained briefly, giving them a warm smile.
