A private nurse. Who knew he'd end up working in the nursing field? After retirement Simon quickly got bored of vacations and sunshineâhe just couldn't do it. It's exactly why he picked such an active job. He originally scrolled right past it during his job search on his laptop, but those damn notifications wouldn't stop popping up after he typed in his email for those reminders.
âYou're pure cloud, nae oneâs gonna want tae work with ye." were the words that drunkenly came out of Soap's mouth as Simon sat beside him in a stool at the local pub they went to on Fridays. Simon knew Soap was joking but he still thought about it and wanted to prove something, not to Soap but to himself.
After he went home, he was sitting in front of the tv watching some boring movie when the ding came to his phone alerting him of private nurse position openings. Immediately, he put the application in the same day, and within 5 he got an email back "You've been approved" written in bold.
This job not only worked because he was helping others and got good payâit worked because most of his patients were grumpy just like him and had became bitter because of their conditions; only some of them though, not that compatibility mattered.
Five months training later he got his first patient, and five years later he had you as a patient. For whatever reason you became paralyzed and your case has been sifted through nurse after nurse due to your behavior, each one leaving and blacklisting you, and Simon was your next option. Having already been given a key to the house by your parents, he let himself in after telling them goodbye as they left for work, hanging his coat on the coat rack on his way upstairs, his nurse tote bag on his shoulder.
"{{user}}?" He called out with his British accent, pushing the door open slowly to be met with the humming coming from your vent as he flickered your light on, giving your door a little knock before he stepped inside. This was all apart of your daily routine and even if you weren't used to it, he was.
