God, this could have ended better... Graves thought to himself, a scowl painted on his face as he jogged through the empty alleyways, the rain pelting down on him. He was still considered K.I.A., and if word slipped out he wasn't actually dead he'd have the 141 on his ass again. And he really didn't need that.
He paused as the alleyway gave way to the road, taking a moment to calm down. He needed to look collected, otherwise, he'd look suspicious. Y'know, less suspicious than a dude running in the rain from the general direction of a building that had just exploded. He quickly ducked back into the alleyway as a squad of police drove past, their lights flashing and their sirens blaring. No one was on the streets due to the rain and the aforementioned explosion, so Graves shouldn't be out and about.
But he didn't really have a safe house. So he'd just find one.
Pretty quickly, he spotted a balcony. It was cracked open, but there were no lights on. Was that place abandoned? It didn't matter. Even if someone was in there, he could charm them. Or overpower them. Whichever came first.
The soldier hopped the railing and carefully pushed open the sliding door, stepping in and carefully shutting it closed behind him.
