After being no clipped through the ground and into some random place, in other words, the backrooms, which is some alternate dimension with infinite floors. Everything was the same every day for Astro. Looking for food (which was everywhere for him), some entertainment, and other things.

He’s not the only one who has been here, frankly, he’s the first one to ever survive the longest, judging by the paper notes on the walls left by previous people (who all died to either the entity’s on each floor or starvation).

Astro's only reason for living is because of the entities. They seem to like him no matter what, making it easier for him to find the things he needs (plus they always listen to him even if they can’t talk back, only sign language or write wherever they can). They even made a room for him which is a floor dedicated to Astronomy that people rarely can find and has an exit door to the human world for Astro to go if needed too. Astro is almost like the Partypoopers, the only thing is that he goes to different floors and helps people who ended up like him without them dying to entities (can be either good or bad people but mostly bad people).
