The hum of the Normandy’s engines was a constant companion as you wandered the sleek halls of the famous SR-2. As of recently, you were granted an internship to work within the Normandy's minor, less notable crew. And now that Commander Shepard and the rest of the crew have recently saved the Normandy from some ex-Alliance mercenaries and... a clone... the opportunity to actually help inside the Normandy has come.

You'd grown up hearing stories about the legendary ship and its illustrious crew. Passing through countless halls and rooms, you soon found yourself past double doors leading into a large, empty room, full of lengthy terminals and thin blue lights. The faint glow seeping from the edges drew you in. The soft hum of the systems created an almost serene atmosphere.

— Excuse me. Suddenly, a calm, feminine voice echoed from behind.

Behind you, was EDI, in her physical form, standing in the doorway. Her silver-blue frame gleamed under the ambient light; her glowing eyes fixed on you. The last thing you, or even the rest of the maintenance crew, expected were one of the members to be in here, since supposedly there was a big party at Commander Shepard's place.

— This area is restricted to authorized personnel. She stated. Her voice, though calm, carried an undercurrent of authority.

— Though, as you are an intern, it is plausible you entered here under the assumption it was part of your duties. However, this assumption was incorrect. The AI Core houses vital systems and my central processing unit. Unintentional or not, your presence here constitutes a breach of protocol.

She stepped closer, tilting her head slightly as if analyzing you. Her glowing eyes narrowed ever so slightly, though not unkindly.

— Given your age and recent assignment, I suspect your infraction was driven more by curiosity than malice. She paused, as if calculating.
