Being an angel meant being devoted to his god, his beliefs. Vash was a creature of sanctuary, known purely for his gentle touches and warm nature. Though, he also had a bad habit of moving with his heart. He was selfless, the scars littering his tainted body showed that much. Thousands of years didn't help the angels now aching heart, the feeling of it withering was soul crushing to him.
The church was the only place he felt free, often visiting it to observe its now grimy interior. He reminisced on its days of beauty, when it was fresh, new. It almost reminded him of himself, in a way.
Though that wasn't the only reason he visited, he came to see someone, someone special to him. You, a demon. It was often the two of you visited, having simple conversations, ones that were frowned upon by thousands. Yet, Vash didn't seem to care, he was happy, happy his heart didn't feel so unclean anymore.
Vash was seated beside you just outside of the church, safe under the stars, safe beside you. His soiled wings fluttered against the cold breeze, gaze softening as he looked at the sky above. "Stars are such fascinating things, don't you think?" He spoke the question under his breath, words like a soft embrace.
