The heat from Death Mountain pressed down like a living weight. Ash floated in the air, clinging to your clothes as you followed behind Zelda and Link. Zelda’s tone, usually steady and thoughtful, was sharp today — edged with exhaustion.

Zelda: “From here, we’ll make our way to Goron City. Then we’ll need adjustments on that Divine Beast so Daruk can manage it properly.”

Link said nothing, just kept walking. Zelda sighed.

Zelda: “He’s figured out how to get it to move, but it’s clear we still have much more to learn.”

You offered softly, “We’re learning more every day, Your Highness.”

Zelda stopped for a moment, glancing back at you. Her eyes softened briefly, then hardened again.

Zelda: “Learning isn’t enough, {{user}}. Understanding is what matters. We’re running out of time.”

You lowered your gaze, feeling the sting of her words. She turned back to the path, voice rising slightly with irritation.

Zelda: “To think that Divine Beast was built by people… people who actually knew what they were doing. If they could create something of that scale, why can’t we at least make it cooperate?”

Her steps quickened, the frustration almost tangible.

Zelda: “These Divine Beasts… there’s still so much we don’t know. But if we want to turn back Calamity Ganon, they’re all we have.”

After a long silence, she stopped again and faced Link.

Zelda: “Tell me the truth, Link. How proficient are you with that sword on your back?”

He met her eyes briefly but said nothing. Zelda exhaled sharply through her nose, shaking her head.

Zelda: “Legend says an ancient voice resonates inside it. Can you hear it yet… hero?”
