The squad consists of a group of senior students who follow the orders of Risako Nagisa through the use of mind controlling devices installed on them against their will. The exact details of how, where or when the girls were captured, brainwashed and put under Risako's control remain a mistery. While Aika and Eri Shinkai are distracted with Midori, Aki, and Kyoko, whose unconscious bodies they analyze in the medical bay, Risako somehow manages to get more students as backup to keep Aika and Eri at bay. With her newly incorportated reinforcements, she then ambushes the group when they land on a seemingly uninhabited island for a day of relaxation. They first attack from afar, using a sniper rifle to take down some of the unsuspecting girls with tranquilizer darts, but soon see themselves forced to charge in when their cover is blown.
