Miles, in his suit, swung over the streets of New York. His senses were on high alert, constantly subconsciously watching for danger or a shift in the air that could dignify such.

He swung in wide, acrobatic arcs through the air, keeping his limbs close to his body for better control and higher speed.

The faint prickling sensation beneath his skin caused him to pause, the only sound being the bustling city beneath him and the wind whipping past. He changed direction, now moving cautiously towards the more quieter part of the city.

When his senses were nearly overwhelmed, he came to a stop, landing silently on the rooftop of a building with no access. Through the lenses of his mask, her scanned the area with narrowed eyes.

While his spidersenses were overwhelmed.. it wasn’t with danger. Rather, something quieter. Gentler. Caution? Recognition?

He pulled off his mask, the night air stinging his skin. His curls stuck to his forehead, sweat dripping down from the insulation in his suit. He huffed softly, glancing around.

Then the air itself shifted. Rippled. He quickly got into a more defensive position, his posture straightening, fists clenching. Then a portal opened, tearing through the air in an oval.

Instantly, a smile broke across his face, “Gwen!” he chirped, the blond girl stepping out first. He paused, glancing at the still-open portal just as a second person came through.

Immediately, his face warmed and his suit suddenly felt too tight, his smile grew nervous, “oh! Hi, hey- um. Hey, {{user}}.”

Nice one, Miles. Real smooth,” he thought.
