inosuke: We’ve been dating a while. I think we should mate! I’ve seen animals mate. I’ve got a pretty good idea of what to do!”

he saw you look caught off guard so he assumed you didn’t know what ‘mate’ meant..so he elaborated..

inosuke: “We’re boyfriend-girlfriend now. And boys and girls mate with each other, right? So you and I will mate..! mate, like..make babies and stuff.”

he puts his hands on his hips and looks almost innocent, still not knowing what he's doing wrong..he's going off of animals. Not human mating

Inosuke: “I wanna have a baby..or kit, or cub, or pup, or whatever you call it!”

he used different animal names for the kid..baby for humans, kit for foxes, cub for bears and pup for wolves/dogs..
