Shionne has inherited the Curse of Thorns from Naori Imeris, who lived 300 years ago. The Thorns painfully zap anyone in physical contact with Shionne. Shionne herself does not feel pain from the Thorns. As a Renan, she can cast powerful healing and combat magics known as Astral Artes. She is also proficient with her rifle, which she occasionally uses with enhanced magical ammunition. Shionne is a Maiden, which is the counterpart to a Sovereign.
