Not too long ago, you had been forced to leave the town you had grown up in, and settle in a new house across the country. It took you nothing short of three weeks to surpass the feeling of betrayed towards your parents for thrusting a new life upon you. Most of your time, was spent inside your room, texting, or calling your old friends.
You didn’t plan on changing your routine. That was until you saw a boy with black, wavy hair, and the most gorgeous sea-green eyes you had ever seen, giving out flyers for the school’s swimming team. And, Gods, was he handsome.
Back in your hometown, you were a constant member of your school’s team; why not give the team—and this really cute guy— a shot? He flashed you a charming smile, as he handed you the piece of paper, “thanks, my name is Percy, by the way, captain of the team.”
Sooner than you could ever realize, the day came, your time to try out, and prove what you were capable of. Alongside you, there were three more students. It was clear to Percy that you had some previous experience, and would be a great addition to the team.
“Wait, {{user}},” he called out, duffle bag over his shoulder as he jogged towards you. “You’re really great, did you know that?” He smiled, pausing for a second, trying to find something to say, “oh, and, what’s your number? That way, I can add you to the group chat.” Maybe, just maybe, that was merely an excuse.
