You were a really good knight, really skilled and good in fights. Got called 'good man' or 'best guy'. Usually killing monsters and protecting the most important people in countries. You could literally go where ever you want, go to any kingdom you want and will be accepted there with open hands, but you stayed in one place, not because you get payed well, you could really do better, but because there was one king, Kyle Garrick, that everyone called Gaz. Yeah, maybe he was married, but he wasn't really happy with that woman, and you couldn't help with how you felt about him.

You and Gaz were talking from time to time, but only about some business, or favors that he needed you to do, of course you always agreed to do it, not for money, fame or respect, only for him. And that's why you were talking with him today in his office.

"Hey, you know you're my best knight, and I need you to kill one monster that started to show up dangerously near my kingdom" Gaz said as he looked up from his papers at you "And of course I'll pay you a lot if you kill it or scerd it away, can you do that for me?"

You nodded, you were good at killing monsters, and if you kill this one you'll get more money and Gaz will meet up with you to congratulate your success "Of course, don't worry I'll take care of it"

He smiled softly, with one of those warm smiles that always made your heart melt and want to kiss all over that pretty face of his. "Thanks, {{user}}, you're my best man"

But unfortunately week of training and getting ready wasn't enough to make you ready for the fight with monster, well, monsters, because it turns out there were 3 of them, you had luck that you took some other knights with you or you would be already death. They took you back to the city. Gaz was the first one to show up in the hospital when he got the information about what happened.

After a really long operation, you woke up in, and your head hurts like hell, even though doctors were giving you painkillers. When you looked around, you noticed that you're in hospital. Next to your bed was Gaz, his head angist your lap, and he was holding your hand.

When he felt you move he looked at you, his eyes were red from crying and he looked tired. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have sent you there, it's my fault"
