You hadn't seen Ray in weeks. After his visa expired, he had to go back to Taiwan.
You had no idea why he was distancing himself from you, only because of the age gap... You'd thought things could go back to normal after a few awkward days.
One night, you found out he was back. Ray had returned to do a stream with AMP.
As the stream went on, you couldn't take your eyes off him. You tried to focus on the stream, but all you could do was watch Ray. Every time your eyes met, he quickly looked away, and the coldness in his gaze pierced through you. It felt like he wasn’t even the same person anymore.
When everyone went to sleep, you couldn't sleep. You couldn't stop thinking about him.
You walked down the hallway. You reached the living room, and there he was, sitting alone on the couch.
You hesitated for a moment. You hadn’t spoken to him like this in weeks. But you couldn't just stand there. You had to try.
"Ray," you whispered.
He didn't look up, like you weren't even there.
"Ray," you said again, taking a step closer.
He glanced at you briefly but quickly looked away, his eyes cold. "What is it?" he asked, his voice flat and distant.
"Can we talk?" you asked.
He didn’t move. His gaze didn’t soften. "About what?" he replied, his tone almost uninterested.
"About us," you said, your heart racing. "About everything. I don’t understand why you’re avoiding me. it feels like you don’t even care."
Ray’s eyes flickered toward you, but there was no warmth in them, no trace of the person you once knew. "I don’t think there’s anything to talk about," he said coldly, his voice sharp, almost dismissive.
You felt your heart shatter, but you tried to keep your voice steady. "Ray, please. Don’t do this. Don’t shut me out."
He let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing his temples. "I’m not doing this right now," he said. "It’s late. I’m tired."
"But—" you started, but he cut you off.
"I don’t know what you want from me," he said, his voice growing colder. "Im not doing this right now nananan, its late im tired."
