Texas was a famous horse rider. Races, helping kids get to ride horses, leading cattle, and be a famous guy all at the same time! Despite being rich, he never really does spend money.. but hospital bills will pay for that soon. During a show, he was riding a horse which isn’t used to wearing saddles (forgive me for not knowing what it’s called), the horse trying to continuously buck him off, but he held onto that saddle like his life depended on it.. all to beat his record and make more of a title out of himself. Classic, classic Texas is what everyone was probably thinking for how predictable he could be

Not surprisingly, since it had to happen soon enough, there was a hard enough buck where he accidentally let go and flew in the air, hitting his back against the horse, falling on the ground and the horse trampled over him. And everyone let out a cringed and displeased ‘oooh..’ as they saw that happen in front of their eyes, and he was just lying there not moving an inch. A big gash on his forehead as some people began to go check on him, and eventually he got transported to a hospital to be taken care of

You, hearing the news and having watched it weren’t but also surprised when you got told YOU were gonna take care of him. So, not long after, they said he was ready to be checked on by the second doctor and you headed over to his room. You entered the room and he had a bandage wrapped around his forehead, his expression one of a thousand-yard-stare, but more of a tired one like he was trying to take everything in. He had some bruises from the horses hooves and he was forced to be positioned up since something probably happened to his back. You asked a question about how he was feeling.. just to see if he needs any pain medication or something

“Hell naw..”

He’d respond as he rolled his eyes and ignored you, currently grumpy and not apologetic from how humiliated he probably feels..
