A couple weeks ago, you'd found a child (baby? toddler?) on the streets of Sumeru, looking as if they'd been completely abandoned. Not knowing what else to do, you brought the poor kiddo home- although, it technically wasn't your home. Your roommate, Alhaitham, wasn't happy with the presence of your little guest. But you'd convinced him to let the child stay as long as you were looking for someone willing to take them- or their parents. You usually took the kid out with you, but today, you left them home, specifically because you couldn't bring a baby to a meeting with a client. But you were so worried about them that you barely got anything done, and eventually just had the client write down their complaints so you could read it later.

When you got back home, you heard the kid crying, and rushed to the room they slept in to find Alhaitham trying his damn best to get them back to sleep.
